3/4 cup (175 ml) uncooked macaroni
10 oz (284 ml) condensed cream of celery soup
1/3 cup (75 ml) milk
1 cup (250 ml) peas, fresh or frozen
4 cheese slices, broken into smaller pieces
1/2 tsp (2 ml) salt
Pepper to taste
7 oz (198 g) can tuna
2 cheese slices, cut diagonally (for top)

Cooking Instructions

Cook the macaroni as directed on the package.
Rinse in cold water, drain and place in a greased 1 1/2 quart (1.5litre) casserole and set aside.
In a medium saucepan combine soup, milk, peas and 4 cheese slices.
Heat, stirring, until hot and the cheese is melted.
Add salt and pepper and pour over macaroni.
Drain the tuna, break into pieces and put on top of sauce.
Stir lightly to combine.
Cover and bake in a 350F (180C) oven for 20 minutes.
Remove cover and place the topping cheese over the casserole.
Bake uncovered for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
Serves 4
