Dough:
2 cup Flour
4 tsp Baking powder
1/2 tsp Cream of tartar
2 tsp Sugar
1/4 tsp Salt
2/3 cup Butter
2/3 cup Milk

Filling:
1/4 cup melted butter
1/4 cup nuts or raisins (optional)
Cinnamon Sugar


Syrup:
1/3 cup Butter
1/3 Cup Brown sugar.

Cooking Instructions

In a large bowl sift dry ingredients together.
With a pastry blender, cut in butter until size of peas.
Make a well in the dry ingredients.
Pour all the milk into the well at once.
Stir with a fork until dough is stiff and follows fork.
On a lightly floured surface knead dough twelve times.
Pat and roll into a 1/4 inch thick rectangle.
Spread with melted butter, Lightly sprinkle with Cinnamon sugar. Add nuts or raisins as desired.
Roll up the dough like a jelly roll.
Cut the rolled up dough into 1 inch sections.
Make syrup by placing melting butter and brown sugar in a 9 inch square pan and place in 375 F oven until melted.
Make sure syrup is blended together.
Place buns into syrup (in the 9 inch pan) and return to oven to bake for 15 - 25 minutes.
